StainWeld TIG has been developed to give optimum weld quality and ease of use without compromise on material performance. StainWeld TIG gases also provide a high-grade surface finish with low reject rates and superb environmental performance.
Our StainWeld is a proven mixture offering the highest quality, meeting or exceeding ISO 14175:2008 standards.
Advantages
- Easier and faster to use than argon, the small amount of hydrogen helps to scavenge any oxygen from around the weld area, producing a bright, clean weld and smooth surface finish.
- The hydrogen content of the shielding gas stiffens the welding arc and increases the fluidity of the weld pool, making it easier to produce a neat, tidy weld bead.
- Improved fluidity increases welding speed compared to argon, resulting in lower weld costs.
Applications
- Developed for TIG welding austenitic stainless steel in a wide range of thicknesses.
- Suitable when purging pipework, producing a high-quality internal finish.
- Can be used in a wide range of applications from TIG welding medical piping applications to welding stainless steel kitchens.
- The hydrogen content produces a more controllable arc which is easier and faster to use. Ideal in applications such as high-quality pipework for the semi-conductor industry.
