StainWeld Plus - 10 Litre
StainWeld consists of a mix of argon, helium and carbon dioxide shielding gases for MIG welding of stainless steel. The addition of helium to the MIG welding shielding gas allows more heat to be transferred into the weld than with argon alone. Carbon dioxide is added to improve the arc stability and droplet transfer characteristics, reducing spatter.
Our StainWeld is a proven mixture offering the highest quality, meeting or exceeding ISO 14175:2008 standards.
Advantages
- Developed to provide welds with low distortion, minimal spatter and high travel speeds.
- Produces a good fusion profile with a superior weld finish, which is shiny, smooth and has a flat surface appearance.
- The addition of helium ensures good penetration and helps produce welds that are defect-free.
- Commonly used in the MIG welding of components.
- Suitable for both manual and automatic applications.
- Used with austenitic, ferritic, martensitic and duplex stainless steels to weld pipework and panelling such as blast walls .
- Suitable for dip, spray and pulse transfer.
- In automatic and robotic applications, high welding speeds achieved and are important for high production rates and cost-efficiencies.
- High-integrity welds such as those required by the nuclear industry.
Fabrications
- (MIG) Stainless Steel
