Argon 5 - 30 Litre (SuperMaxx®)
The new 300 bar SuperMaxx Cylinder Package offers up to more than double the gas compared to our 20 Litre cylinder. SuperMaxx cylinders are now equipped with an improved safety guard and NEVOC valve.
The SuperMaxx 300 bar gas cylinder has a longer weld time and holds more gas when compared to a standard gas cylinder, so is ideal for use in the fabrication, manufacturing, construction and automotive industries and for high-volume gas users, where a high-capacity 300 bar cylinder will help you to make productivity savings and reduce stock holdings.
Our Argon 5 is a proven mixture offering the highest quality, meeting or exceeding ISO 14175:2008 standards.
Advantages
- Easy to use, providing a sound weld at minimum cost.
- Has a low oxidation potential.

- Minimises post-weld treatment and rework.
- Low porosity and other defects.
Applications
- Specially formulated for MIG welding sheet and thin sections of mild steel less than 5mm thick.
- Can be used on mild steel sections thicker than 5mm but care must be taken to ensure the weld integrity is not compromised.
- Ideal for duct and sheet-metal engineering industries.
- A suitable gas in automotive component manufacturing and vehicle repair as it provides dip transfer in all positions with solid wire.
