Unlike some inferior Fuel Logs/Heat Logs manufactured from recycled (unknown) wood products, our Fuel Logs use the same raw materials as our Wood Pellets sourced from FSC certified forests. You can rest assured that when you burn Biomass Fuel Supplies Fuel Logs nothing toxic is emitted into your home or pollutes the atmosphere.
Biomass Fuel Supplies Fuel Logs are made from by products from saw mills. Virgin saw dust, with no added chemical binders, is dried using biomass fuelled driers and then fed through an extrusion mill causing heat. The heat process allows the natural lignin and resins in the saw dust to bind together forming one long continuous briquette. Once the briquette is cooled it is then cut to the required length.
Due to the raw materials used in Biomass Fuel Supplies Fuel Logs, the briquettes have a moisture content of less than 12% therefore their Calorific Value (heat output) is very high approximately 5.5 kWh/kg. The high density of the logs creates a slow burning effect. A mix of bfs Fuel Logs and bfs Kiln Dried Logsmakes for a perfect combination and an attractive, long lasting fire.
Recommended for open fires, wood burners, multifuel stoves, boiler stoves, range cookers, pizza ovens, chimeneas and firepits.
